"Frontline" Report: Thank you for the Mizuho Bank honors!

Piyushji,
Thank
you so much for having me as the main speaker at the Mizuho Bank awards
function today. It was an absolute pleasure, though I must admit, following a
distinguished giant like Dr. H.D. Parekh is a bit like being asked to perform a
comedy set right after a Shakespearean masterpiece—it’s a daunting
"tactical manoeuvre," to say the least!
I
want to extend a special "medal of merit" to Saurabh. He was the
ultimate logistics commander, seamlessly coordinating our initial Zoom meetings
and ensuring my " movement" from Salunke Vihar to the hotel in Mumbai
was flawless.
He handled the loading of my PowerPoint with
precision. As I always say, a PowerPoint is the ultimate force multiplier;
without those maps and charts, I’m just a man with a microphone, but with them,
I’m a man with a mission!
A
few highlights from the "battlefield":
• The Vibe: The audience’s body language
was fantastic—no one fell asleep, which I consider a major victory for any
speaker!
• The "Paparazzi": I felt like
a bit of a rockstar afterward. A large group came up for selfies, and my
LinkedIn notifications haven't stopped buzzing—over 25 new followers and
counting.
• The Future: It was a genuine honour to
share my thoughts with the budding leaders of India’s corporate world. If they
lead their teams with half the energy they showed today( and I am not talking
about drinking), the industry is in very capable hands.
I
have presented several of my books on national security, including one on
Operation Sindhur, another on coastal security, and a chapter I contributed to
a book on a three-front war featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s views.
During the Pune Book Festival, the Prime Minister had remarked that nations
whose citizens read books become great, even a few members of your team could
take a moment to look at my books and take a selfie with them.
This
successful operation was only possible because of you and your stellar team.
Thank you for the opportunity to address such a vibrant group.
