Letter of Appreciation & Feedback
To:
Prof. Aditi Khare, Dept. of Psychology
I am
writing to express my sincere appreciation for the positive interaction I had
with the Department of Psychology. The visit was seamless from the start;
Ishita and Astha coordinated my arrival via Ola perfectly, ensuring I reached
the designated spot on time.
I
thoroughly enjoyed the lunch at Dnyaneshwar Hall. The discussion with Professor
Nitin Sharma and his colleagues regarding the various facets of National
Security was both intellectually stimulating and insightful.
Technical
& Procedural Execution
The
technical team ensured that the laptop setup and presentation logistics were
handled efficiently. I was also highly impressed by the student speakers who
shared their views on the Chhatra Sansad; they spoke with remarkable
clarity and passion.
Special
mention must go to the anchor, Sanika, who conducted the proceedings
with immense professionalism. She is clearly a talented individual with a
bright future ahead.
Audience
Engagement
The
student engagement was exceptional. While initial interest sat at roughly 50%,
it surged to nearly 95% as the session progressed. This was evident
through their attentive body language, receptive smiles, and active
participation.
The
Q&A session was particularly vibrant, featuring practical questions about
daily challenges. Had time permitted, the dialogue could have continued much
longer. I have since received several photographs of the event from Ishita,
Astha, and Sanika, which serve as a great memento of the day.
3. Key
Insights on National Security
During the
session, I presented two books on Operation Sindhu and Pakistan
to the department. I encourage the students to engage with these texts, as
understanding National Security is a prerequisite for a Viksit Bharat.
In today's
landscape, we are all "frontline soldiers" in a multi-domain
conflict. We must be prepared for:
- Information, Disinformation, Propaganda
and Psychological Warfare
- Perception Management ,Narrative
warfare
- Economic Warfare, Supply Chain
Warfare ,Cyber Warfare
Our nation
can only achieve true prosperity if every citizen contributes to defending
these frontiers. I had intended to share several books specifically regarding Psychology
in the Armed Forces, but in the momentum of the session, I missed the
opportunity. I look forward to sharing these resources during a future
interaction.
4.
Session Highlights
- Attendance: High turnout with
enthusiastic participation across various academic disciplines.
- Core Content: Detailed exploration of
socio-economic growth, technological advancement, and ethical leadership.
- Interactive Q&A: Key discussions centered on
youth involvement in politics and the role of technology in modern
governance.
- Participant Feedback: Overwhelmingly positive;
students reported feeling motivated to participate more actively in public
affairs.
5.Lessons
Learned & Recommendations
- Dynamic Format: The high level of engagement
confirms that interactive Q&A segments are vital. Future sessions
should allocate more time for this.
- Resource Sharing: Providing digital copies or
reading lists immediately following the talk would help sustain student
interest.
- Future Topics: I recommend following up with
workshops on Psychology of military incompetence, Psychology
of successful soldiers.
Psychology and armed forces (for armed forces means all
professions)to
bridge the gap between psychological theory and practical application.
6.Conclusion
The
"Viksit Bharat @ 2047" session was a resounding success. The
enthusiasm displayed by the students at MIT WPU reaffirms the importance of
academic-expert exchanges in shaping the leaders of tomorrow. I look forward to
our next collaboration.
