The three Army athletes achieved the following notable records and historic milestones :-
• *Nb Sub Gulveer Singh* (Athletics – 10,000 m)
Became the *first Indian ever to win a Commonwealth Games medal in the men's 10,000 m, claiming a historic silver medal.*
• *Nb Sub Sarvesh Kushare* (High Jump) Became the *first Indian to win a silver medal in the men's high jump at the Commonwealth Games.*
• *Hav Valluri Ajaya Babu* (Weightlifting – 79 kg) Set a *Commonwealth Games record in the Snatch with a lift of 149 kg.*
Two Army para athletes compete on 1 Aug, while two Army athletes remain in contention in the 400 m hurdles.
