Salute To 81 Brave Army Men Who Lost Their Lives To Kill 220 Terrorists In 2018

The year 2018 has been tough for terrorists as the Indian Army was all geared up to drive them away. According to reports, at least 220 terrorists were killed by security forces in Jammu And Kashmir. This has been the highest since 2010.
All thanks to these 81 brave soldiers who lost their lives to save others. 
According to the figures compiled by the different agencies, out of the 220 terrorists, 128 were locals, 43 foreigners mostly Pakistanis and 59 unidentified.

The terrorists who were killed include commanders of Hizbul Mujahideen. Not only him, but the highest number of terrorists killed so far were also from Hizbul Mujahideen. 57 Hizbul terrorists which included 37 locals and 20 foreigners were killed by our brave soldiers. Indian Army was successful in killing 32 Lashkar-e-Tioba terrorists. Three (two locals one foreigner) Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist was killed while the Ansar Gazwat ul Hind’s five terrorist and Tehreek ul Mujhadeen's four lost their lives in security forces’operations, 59 remained unidentified.
South Kashmir which has always been in news for terror encounter saw the highest number of deaths with 128 terrorists being neutralised this year. Around 45 were killed in north Kashmir and 47 others were neutralised near LOC.

In various operations against terrorists, 81 security personnel have been martyred. 
"Over the past one and a half months, we have killed a large number of terrorists. The number of terrorists we are now killing is much more than the number of people joining terrorism. They can't sustain the rate at which they are being eliminated," told Brigadier Sachin Malik, Commander 2-sector Rashtriya Rifles based in South Kashmir to DNA.
