Three cheers for the brave Army officer who saved eighteen soldiers from coward traitors

Three cheers for the brave Army officer who saved eighteen soldiers from coward traitors April 16, 2017, 11:29 pm IST Tarun Vijay in Indus Calling | India | TOI A human shield in front of the army jeep looks horrible and totally unacceptable to any one who believes in the human values and armed forces’ glorious history. But if you compare this with the picture of a fifty dead bodies lying in a pool of blood and think how the tactical experiment of using a human shield helped save that situation, you may have to take a pause and relook at your earlier reaction. The Major who saved the lives of the eighteen soldiers of the ITBP must be defended, decorated with a military award and get the applause of a billion plus Indians. Video of ‘Army using J&K youth as human shield’ triggers storm He has done what should have been done to save the lives of his buddies, the ITBP soldiers and also , to save the traitors, who would have been lying dead in a pool of blood if he had decided to open fire on them in self defence- for which he was fully authorised. The mothers of those ‘saved stone pelters’ must thank this brave and humane Major before they thank destiny. A section of the Indian media and the ‘sometimes Indian sometimes stone -pelter’ politician of the valley are intrinsically against the Army. They forgot that the eighteen ITBP soldiers were deputed on a polling both to save the democracy and were representing the authority of the constitution of India. Suddenly they were surrounded by a hundreds of street boys chanting Pakistan Zindabad slogans with stones in their hands. None would have helped them including the ever vacillating and sulking Abdullahs , who have yet to decide which side of the political divide they must stand for. With crowd swelling by the minute and the lives of the soldiers in danger , what was the option left with the company commander? To order his men to bow their heads cowardly and let the stone pelters hurl stone-missiles at them and run for their life or face them and order fire to safeguard the soldiers’ lives and fulfil the constitutional obligation? There is a Delhi-sultanate that exists everywhere- from media houses to the glitterati of the rich and powerful in our metropolitan cities. It has thrived on the mercies of the British getting Khitabs of Rai Bahadurs and Raisahebs and have learnt the art of mocking at the patriotic forces from the firangis . Every single Hindu icon becomes the butt of their jokes, satires and sarcastic tweets on social media. It is the class that has been relegated to irrelevance after a grand Modi win in 2014- and again after the UP electoral success and the anointment of a ochre robed sannyasi as the chief minister. The new order of the defeated elite with their punctured ego finds refuge in award wapsi, intolerance campaigns, a sudden realisation of attacks on churches, anger against cow vigilantism and demanding action against the Major who saved several precious lives. The voices of Kashmiri jihadis demanding secession become important to them. Never they would observe the day of Kashmiri Hindus exodus from the valley, no editorials or tweets by them on Kulbhushan Jadhav or on the humiliation of the CRPF jawans by paid hoodlums. There are several cover stories on the Kashmiri terrorists, and they love to call them as militants. But show me a single cover story on the difficult life the soldiers lead in the Northeast, in naxal infested areas in Chattisgarh and in Kashmir. A soldier , for them is a paid employee and nothing more. Have you seen any story on the brutalities and the savagery of the Jihadis and their groups like LeT and HM in the magazines and the Sunday supplements they edit? A Burhan Wani gets romanticised and a cow’s slaughter on Tricolour in the market is taken as a normal expression of a people under attack of the cow-vigilantism. This is the elite that turns apologist for the secessionist Islamo-fascist groups of stone pelters and demands to stop the use of pellet guns, and wants ‘strict action’ against the soldiers. This elite is extremely pained seeing a human shield but refuses to react on the life and death situation for soldiers created by the ant-constitutional paid-boys of the Jihadis. This is the continuation of the elite India had during the British who turned witnesses against Bhagat Singh(see their names in the national archives) and earned titles of Raisahebs. These elite groups, controlling media and public platforms are a ruthless and highly prejudiced class that refuse to see the other side of the picture. Opinionated and arrogant , they get their way under all circumstances and make a good use of disunity amongst the nationalists. When they demand an action against the Major who saved several lives, the stand of an Indian has to be clear and outspokenly in favour of those who defend India. If you still think there is a choice, pl introspect where and when your Indian soul got bruised and converted
