Anti-India speech: Probe on against Geelani and Roy
New Delhi, Apr 19 (PTI) The city police today told a Delhi court that it was still probing the sedition case against hardline Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, writer Arundhati Roy and four others for making alleged anti-India speeches last year.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of the Tilak Marg police station made this submission before Metropolitan Magistrate Navita Kumari Bagha in his latest probe status report filed in the court today.
Stating that the probe was "under progress", the SHO told the court that they have examined complainant Sushil Pandit and has asked him to join the probe.
"The investigation is under progress. The complainant has already been partly examined. A notice under section 160 of the CrPC has also been served to him (Pandit) to assist in collection of evidence and to join the investigation of this case," the SHO said.
The court listed the matter for further hearing on July 4.
Besides Geelani and Roy, the complaint sought prosecution of four others, including Delhi University professor S A R Geelani, who was acquitted in Parliament attack case, and Sheikh Showkat Hussain, a professor of Kashmir University.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly made anti-India comments at a convention here in October last year on ''Azadi-The Only Way''.
Hurriyat leader Geelani shared the dais with Roy and pro-Maoist leader Varavara Rao among others. Geelani was heckled by the audience after the meeting.
The FIR in the case was registered in November 2010 following a court order.

Gilani atl east is a Kashmiri muslim and we can forgive as he is misguided.
Arundati should be put behind bars or sent to Taliban where she will be tied to a post and whipped.

Arundhati Roy may have won the Bookers Prize but she can never win the hearts of millons of fellow
Countrymen by uttering such irresponsible remarks on Azadi for Jammu & Kashmir. I think she is indulging in cheap publicity otherwise she has no business to participate and make such non-sense
remarks against the interest of this great Nation. Who cares for her remarks. She has never spared a moment to see the plights of Kashmiri Pandits who have not only been looted, raped and killed but
made to flee their homes in Srinagar and are now scattered in various Rehabilitation Centers, in Jammu, Delhi and elsewhere. Does her Azadi means for a particular group of Jehadis, Talibanis and terrorists who have made the lives of women hell in Afghanistan. She should not forget that this is our India where every single individual is enjoying Azadi with the system of Union. We cannot tolerate her rubbish statement.

I feel that Dr. Sen is not very clean but he should not punish for Desh Droh. Actually I think he is not desh drohi. May be some Dal Main Kala is there with Dr. Sen. At the same I respect him as a social worker. He has big heart for doing such good things among the poors. But he should not favour the Moao's. China is behind them and their thoughts could be some how correct, but dangerous for democracy. Congress is playing game as alwasy since before independence. Majority of people of India know that they (congress) is also culprit of the partition of country.
As regards the Gilani and Roy and two others they should be in Jail because Kashmir can not be the part of Pakistan now. India is a Panth Nirpeksh country not secular (please see the dictionary secular means those who do not believe in religion) since thousands of years. And everybody should know it that is because of Hindus only, hindus (98%) are very libral and democratic within their religion also. U all know Islam and democary is contradictory things. It is truth my muslim brothers also know it. Koran and Democrary could not run simultaniously.

I understand the statement given by Kashmiri separatist leader Mr. Geelani b'coz he is getting paid by his pakistani bosses for doing this kind of job, but the intention behind anit-Indian statement, made by so called highly intellactual and so well know writer, is not clear.
The only logic which I can understand behind all this episode is the hunger for fame which is driving her crazy and forcing her to do all these non-sense.

Ms Roy mixes romanticism with reality. She sits in her AC bunglow and romanticises poverty. She is far removed from reality. She should conduct herself in a mature way and worthy of the recipent of the Booker prize.

I think this "popularity Hungry should be sent to taliban..whipped and a choraha..and then sent to exile and never allowed to enter India again.
Put Gilani and Arundhati behind bars. Also give a strong warning to Padgaokar and company who are more pro-separatists than Kashmiris themselves.

It is really silly to club Arundhati Roy and Geelani. Arundhati Roy is only a gas bag/loose cannon. Who would take her seriously. She had once stated publicly that she is free republic! At the same time Geelani is actually a self proclaimed anti national. No country in this world except India will let loose such a character.

How funny is our Indian government as well as our leaders that to book the anti-nationals why they are so afraid? Their mind set not less than slaves and to hammer just on Hindus only. very shame. If such incident has happened on any foreign soil did they spare them never never never. Though in 1947 Bharat got freedom but on papers only because the mindset of the GOI as well as leaders which ever party they may belong are still slaves.

these anti national elements should be handed over to the talibans type of people living in india and should be hanged openly till his or her death, so that no body will talk like that in future. this is not possible in india because india is no man's lands and any body can do what ever he or she wants from top to bottom level of our country subject or people
