Dear Sir,
I write to you with heartfelt gratitude for the privilege of being invited as a guest to your annual AMC function, most appropriately titled Jallosh. The event was not merely a cultural program—it was a vibrant celebration of the spirit, talent, and humanity of the medical fraternity.
Over three and a half hours of sheer brilliance unfolded on stage, revealing the artistic soul that resides within the healers of our society. Each performance was a masterpiece, worthy of an repeat. I was left , wondering how these professionals manage to cultivate such artistic talents while shouldering the responsibilities of their medical calling.
The program was seamlessly anchored, adding grace and coherence to the evening’s proceedings. What moved me deeply was the realization that so many among you, apart from running busy clinics and medical practices, are also selflessly engaged in social service. It reflected the noblest face of the medical profession—compassionate, committed, and conscious of its duty to society.
On a personal note, I must admit that the recognition from the audience—many of whom were familiar with my work on national security across newspapers, television, and social media—was a deeply humbling experience. It was, in a way, a gentle and flattering ego massage, for which I remain grateful.
A special note of thanks is due to Dr. Amit Nabar. His hospitality was thoughtful and meticulous— tracking my journey from Pune ;to receiving me at the Ranga Sharada Auditorium, offering a refreshing cup of tea, guiding me to the changing room, and ensuring my comfort throughout the evening, including the tea and dinner breaks. He also graciously coordinated my movement to the Swatantryaveer Savarkar Smarak for my overnight stay. I am now on my way back to Pune, carrying with me fond memories of this delightful evening.
During my brief interactions with many participants over tea and dinner, two thoughts stood out. First, there is a keen and widespread curiosity about our national security, particularly about Operation Sindoor. It was one of the most televised operations in recent times, and as a result, public perceptions—though passionate—often drifted from the ground realities.
Second, there was a genuine desire among the attendees to contribute to the nation’s progress and security, though many were unsure of how they could meaningfully participate. To that end, may I suggest two humble proposals?
An online or offline session on National Security and the Role of Citizens would be immensely valuable in channeling this patriotic energy.
Doctors, by virtue of their discipline, compassion, and commitment, can play a vital role in nation-building and national resilience. My original talk was crafted around this very theme. However, after experiencing the joyous spirit of the function, I adapted my remarks into lighter anecdotes and practical illustrations of the stellar work that doctors do in the armed forces, often under the most trying circumstances.
The memento you graciously presented to me will find a place of pride in my drawing room. It will serve as a daily reminder of the exceptional work your organization is doing—not just in healing the body, but in nurturing the soul of the nation.
With warm regards and best wishes for your continued success, I look forward to future opportunities for meaningful interaction.
Do convey my appreciation to all the members of the managing committee and others of your organization.
Yours sincerely,
Brigadier Hemant Mahajan .
