Strengthening Military Ties: India and Morocco

On Monday, India and Morocco signed an agreement to enhance military cooperation following discussions between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his Moroccan counterpart, Abdeltif Loudiyi. The two nations established a comprehensive roadmap to expand collaboration in areas such as counter-terrorism, maritime security, cyber defense, and peacekeeping operations. Singh, currently visiting Morocco, expressed the significance of the meeting on social media, stating, “Had a very productive meeting with Morocco’s Defence Minister Mr. Abdeltif Loudiyi, and we signed an MoU on cooperation in the field of defense.”

India’s Stance on Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir

During his interaction with the Indian community in Morocco, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reiterated India's commitment to reclaiming Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) through non-aggressive means. He noted that there are increasing demands for freedom in the region. “PoK will be ours on its own... I had said that we will not need to attack and capture PoK; it is anyway ours,” he stated, highlighting the growing sentiments among the people in PoK.

Advancing Military Research and Development

The inaugural Tri-Services Academia Technology Symposium (T-SATS) commenced on Monday at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi, aiming to synergize the research and development ecosystem between the military and academia. Inaugurated by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, the event saw participation from directors and heads of departments of leading academic and research institutions, alongside students from 62 institutes, including IISc, IITs, and private technology universities.

Strengthening Maritime Defense Ties with Sri Lanka

S-400 Air Defense System Deliveries to India

According to reports, Russia is set to complete the delivery of the S-400 air defense systems to India next year, as part of a $5.43 billion deal signed in 2018. A defense source indicated that four of the five systems have already been delivered, with the final system expected next year, according to the Russian state-run TASS news agency.
