Raheel Khursheed Is Fomenting Separatism Via Twitter In the age of social media , there is a new form of terrorism. No it is not the person holding an AK-47 – it is these pseudo-Journalists , like Raheel Khursheed, who are in fact responsible for creating and efficiently spreading a web of hatred towards India on Twitter, forwarding the Kashmiri separatist agenda and resulting in the death of many innocents. The basic problem is that the innocent gets caught in the middle – whether it is the poor girl in Handwara from the recent turmoil, or even stone-pelting teenagers. The arrest or accidental death of the youth is absolutely catastrophic and spreads total hatred in the community against the police or the army. What is not understandable , however, is condoning those who incite them, who brain-wash them, who make the lives of the young hell in a place like Kashmir. And thanks to their political appeasement and freedom of speech in the context of social media – these people (the people who incite) are allowed to spew hatred totally unbridled while the innocent gets killed. This is partly out of ignorance, but partly political. Problems in Kashmir increase the clout of both Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah – they want problems – it keeps them important. It provides the raison d’etre for the Hurriyat and their importance in meetings with both Delhi and Pakistan. It gives importance to the Imams in Jama Masjid. And going by the number of protests after Friday prayers – some of these Imams in Jama Masjid (in Kashmir) are clearly spreading venom – how come they are never arrested ?? The country would greatly benefit if the inciters of violence got prosecuted rather than the innocent impressionable kid on the street. Death of innocents keeps the status quo and keeps the current (political) power system in Kashmir the same while not allowing a heart and minds integration with India. Anyways, on to one of the master-minds of terrorism via social media – Mr. Raheel Khursheed. He is well known as a BJP hating twitterati – nothing wrong with that – you are allowed your preferences – its a democracy after all. Before he was appointed as the head of Twitters political desk – he was openly against Mr Modi . But not liking Modi is very different than conspiring against the state ! “No Visa – LOL ! ” . The social media instigators like Raheel who in fact lives in Kashmir and probably indulges in training and advising many on how to spread venom towards India via Twitter c) As Raheel said, there is no sms in Kashmir (or that it is monitored) but Whatsapp is not ! Possibly other social media. d) Have a no-appeasement policy – whether it be Geelani, the politicians, the imams in Jama Masjid – Anyone trying to spread venom or separatism. One needs to nip the evil in the bud and not those poor souls on the streets who are merely pawns in the whole game ! Arrest people at the point the venom is spread – much before it spreads and comes out to the streets ! Incarcerate those spreading and promoting hatred – these are the perpetrators, these are the angels of death – not the poor impressionable kid on the street. India needs to be very strict here
