To the Team at PMI Pune Deccan India Chapter,
I want to extend my sincere gratitude for the invitation to
speak at DiSHA 2026. Discussing "Leadership During Crisis"
with such a sharp audience was truly a highlight for me.
The energy in the room was palpable. I was delighted to see
that the audience didn't just appreciate the technical insights, but also
joined in on my light-hearted banter—the frequent rounds of applause and
laughter made the 30 minutes fly by!
A special thank you to Mrs. Priyanka for the seamless coordination and for checking in on me afterward to ensure I had reached home safely.
I also must thank Milind for dispatching me home so efficiently
and for his kind follow-up call. It’s clear that "Risk Management" at
PMI extends all the way to ensuring your speakers get back to their home base!
The technical team also deserves a shout-out; their
excellent support ensured the PowerPoint presentation hit the mark perfectly.
I must also mention the MC. Her introduction was so generous
that I made a quiet request: I asked if she could repeat those exact words in
front of my wife! Currently, my "great personality" status is still
under review at home, but I am confident that a testimonial from your MC would
significantly boost my domestic credit rating.
The next speaker also praised me before the start of his
talk.
The interaction didn't stop at the stage. I was humbled by
the number of participants who approached me to discuss the talk and take
photographs.
One unexpected perk
of the session? My "celebrity status" allowed me to skip the lunch
queue a number of times as the audience seemed to recognize my face—proving
that good leadership (or perhaps just a good speech) really does have its
rewards!
To the PMI Library, I have gifted my books on Operations
Sindoor and Coastal Security (in Marathi), as well as my work on Pakistan
(in English). I hope they find a rightful place on your shelves.
