Veer Tanaji Malusare captured the Singarh fort, and it is annually celebrated as Maratha Day by the Maratha Regiment

Yesterday, the Maratha Light Infantry arranged a Marathas Day event at RSI. This significant occasion commemorates the day when Veer Tanaji Malusare captured the Singarh fort, and it is annually celebrated as Maratha Day by the Maratha Regiment.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a military visionary, revolutionized the Indian approach to warfare, triumphing over adversaries using indigenous weapons. He transcended being merely a hero for Maharashtra, emerging as an icon for the entire nation and the world. However, his influence has long been confined to the boundaries of Maharashtra.

To rectify this oversight, a National Conference on 'Chhatrapati Shivaji’s Statecraft: Lessons for Modern India' was held on December 24-25, 2022, at Srisailam. The conference, a collaborative effort by the "Samskruti Adhyayan Kendra and the Shivaji Sphoorthy Kendra" in Shree Srisailam (a four-hour journey from Hyderabad), aimed to rightfully position Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Indian history.

The conference meticulously examined all facets of Shivaji Maharaj's personality. I had the honor of presenting on "Shivaji Maharaj: Armed Forces, Ordnance Management, Military Strategy & Tactics." Subsequently, my presentation was transformed into a research paper, which has been published on News Bharti.com. The link to my three-part articles is shared for your perusal.
