मणिपूर, दि. १४ - तामेंगलोंग जिल्ह्यात दहशतवाद्यांशी झालेल्या चकमकीत 21 पॅराचे मेजर अमित देसवाल शहीद झाले आहेत. झेलियांगग्राँग युनायटेड फ्रंटच्या (झेडयूएफ) दहशतवाद्यांसोबत बुधवारी झालेल्या चकमकीत मेजर अमित देसवाल यांना वीरमरण आलं. या चकमकीत एका दहशतवाद्याचा खात्मादेखील करण्यात आला आहे. राष्ट्रीय रायफल्स आणि विशेष दलाच्या जवानांचं कोम्बिंग ऑपरेशन सुरु असताना दहशतवाद्यांनी हा हल्ला केला असल्याची माहिती अधिका-यांनी दिली. दहशतवाद्यांशी झालेल्या चकमकीदरम्यान अमित देसवाल यांच्या पोटाला गोळी लागल्याने जखमी झाले होते. जखमी अवस्थेतून त्यांनी दुस-या जागी हलवण्यात आले मात्र त्यांचा मृत्यू झाला. शहीद मेजर अमित देसवाल हरियाणाच्या झंजर जिल्ह्यातील रहिवासी आहेत. मणिपूरसारख्या राज्यात "लष्कर विशेषाधिकार कायदा‘ (आर्म्ड फोर्सेस स्पेशल पॉवर ऍक्‍ट) लागू केला गेला, हा थेट राज्यघटनेच्या सरनाम्याचे उल्लंघन आणि राज्यात अनागोंदी निर्माण करण्याचा नमुना आहे. असे एका वर्तमान पत्रात एक लेखक म्हण्तात. श्रीनगर, दि. १८ - जम्मू-काश्मीरच्या कुपवाडा जिल्ह्यातील हंडवारामध्ये सुरु असलेल्या चकमकीत शुक्रवारी सुरक्षापथकांनी दोन अतिरेक्यांना कंठस्नान घातले. चकमक अजूनही सुरु आहे. प्राथमिक माहितीनुसार हंडवारामध्ये दोन ते चार दहशतवादी लपले असल्याची माहिती मिळाल्यानंतर लष्कराचे जवान घटनास्थळी दाखल झाले आणि त्यांनी शोध मोहिम सुरु केली. त्यावेळी लपून बसलेल्या अतिरेक्यांनी जवानांच्या दिशेने गोळीबार केला. यावेळी प्रत्युतरादाखल जवानांनी केलेल्या गोळीबारात दोन्ही दहशतवादी ठार झाले. अजूनही काही दहशतवादी लपून बसले असण्याची शक्यता आहे. सुरक्षापथकांनी या संपूर्ण परिसराला घेराव घातला आहे. १० मार्चला पुलावामामध्ये लष्कराबरोबर झालेल्या चकमकीत दोन दहशतवादी ठार झाले होते. He got inducted in Manipur for Op Hifazat II in Jan 2016. After relentless hard work combined with a superior tactical acumen, the officer homed on to eliminate the leadership of NSCN K and ZNF cadres. With his Cdo spirit at helm he followed them and in an ensuing gunfight on 13 April 2016, he sustained two GSW in stomach. Despite grieviously injured the offr shot down the top militant Cadres at last Light in Tamenglong District. The Bravegeart breathed his last in the true traditions of a Warrior, a Commando , fighting till the End.
